Rivet Live Terms of Use
Last updated on August 13, 2026
These Rivet Live Terms of Use (“Live Terms”) govern your access to and use of Rivet Live, a live, host-moderated video and community-matching experience offered by MeantToBe, Inc. (“Rivet”, “we”, “us” or “our”) through the Rivet platform.
These Live Terms supplement and form part of our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines (collectively, the “Rivet Terms”). Capitalized terms not defined in these Live Terms have the meanings given to them in our Terms of Use.
If there is any conflict or inconsistency between these Live Terms and any other Rivet Terms with respect to your access to, participation in, or content created or captured through Rivet Live, these Live Terms will control solely with respect to Rivet Live.
Each time you enter or participate in a Rivet Live session, you acknowledge and agree to the then-current Live Terms.
1. How Rivet Live Works
1.1. Rivet Live is a scheduled, live video and community-matching experience hosted and moderated by a host selected or approved by Rivet (the “Host”). Registered Rivet users may: (a) watch a Rivet Live session and, where enabled, participate in live chat, polls, reactions and other interactive features (“Viewers”); and/or (b) voluntarily request to participate on camera and by audio in a live segment with the Host and another selected user (“Live Participants”). Only Live Participants will have their camera and microphone enabled as part of a live segment, unless Rivet expressly enables another format.
1.2. Rivet and/or the Host may select and pair Live Participants from eligible users, including users who have voluntarily requested to participate and, particularly during initial or test sessions, users Rivet identifies or invites in advance. Selection and pairing are made in Rivet’s discretion, taking into account factors relevant to the applicable Rivet Live format, including applicable matching preferences and eligibility criteria. Requesting to participate does not guarantee that you will be selected, paired with any particular person, or featured in any particular session. Rivet has no obligation to explain any selection or pairing decision. You may decline to participate or withdraw from a proposed stage appearance at any time before joining the live segment.
1.3. During or following a stage segment, Viewers may be invited to respond to polls or provide community feedback regarding the interaction between Live Participants, including whether the Live Participants appear well-suited as a potential match. Voting results are presented only as an aggregate outcome; Rivet does not display an individual user’s vote or a live individual rating of either Stage Participant. Where Rivet identifies a pair as a match based on the applicable community-matching mechanism, Rivet may create a match or enable communication between those Stage Participants through the Platform. Community feedback and voting reflect the opinions of participating users only. They are not ratings of the worth, attractiveness, character or desirability of any individual, do not constitute a judgment or endorsement by Rivet, and do not guarantee compatibility, a successful match, a relationship or any other outcome.
1.4. Rivet Live session dates, times, duration, Hosts, formats, participants, features and availability may vary. Rivet may modify, interrupt, reschedule, suspend or discontinue any Rivet Live session or feature at any time, subject to applicable law.
2. Eligibility
2.1. Rivet Live is available only to registered Rivet users who are at least eighteen (18) years old, satisfy Rivet’s applicable identity and account-verification requirements, and maintain an account in good standing.
2.2. Only the verified account holder selected by Rivet or the Host may appear on camera as a Live Participant. You must not permit, invite or intentionally display any other person, including any minor, in your camera feed, and you must not stream, broadcast or participate on behalf of another person or permit another person to use your account to participate.
2.3. Rivet may require additional verification, eligibility checks or safety measures before allowing any user to participate as a Live Participant and may deny or revoke stage eligibility at any time where Rivet reasonably considers this necessary for safety, compliance, moderation or operation of the Services.
3. Consent to Appear; Assumption of Risk
3.5. You are responsible for your own statements, conduct, disclosures and interactions during Rivet Live. Rivet does not control, verify, adopt or guarantee, and is not responsible or liable for, any statement, opinion, joke, advice, representation or other content expressed by a Host, Live Participant or Viewer during a Rivet Live session, including statements made by a Host in the course of hosting or moderating a session. Except for statements Rivet itself expressly and knowingly makes on its own behalf, no statement made during Rivet Live reflects the views of, or is endorsed or adopted by, Rivet. Any match, communication, meeting or relationship arising from Rivet Live remains subject to your own judgment and responsibility.
4. Content Ownership and Likeness Release
4.1. Live Content. “Live Content” means all content captured, recorded, created, displayed, submitted or transmitted in connection with Rivet Live, including video, audio, photographs, screenshots, chat messages, comments, polls, votes, reactions, statements, performances, interactions, session recordings and any clips, excerpts, edits, adaptations, compilations or derivative materials created from any of the foregoing.
4.4. Waivers. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you: (a) waive any right to inspect or approve Live Content or Rivet’s permitted use, editing or presentation of Live Content; (b) acknowledge that, once you have participated and Live Content has been created or published, you do not have a contractual right to require Rivet to withdraw, remove, delete or cease using such Live Content; and (c) waive and agree not to assert any moral rights, rights of attribution, rights of integrity or similar rights that you may have in Live Content. The rights granted under this Section survive your departure from a Rivet Live session, deletion of your account and termination of your relationship with Rivet. Nothing in these Live Terms waives, restricts or overrides any non-waivable right you may have under applicable privacy, data-protection, consumer-protection or other law. Rivet will process requests exercising such statutory rights in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable law.
4.5. Rivet has no obligation to record, publish, distribute, preserve or use any particular Live Content or to include any Live Participant in any promotional material and may use, discontinue, remove or refrain from using any Live Content in Rivet’s discretion.
4.6. You represent, warrant and agree that: (a) you have the right to make the statements and provide the materials that you contribute to Rivet Live; (b) you will not knowingly display, perform or provide content that infringes or misappropriates any third party’s intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights; (c) you will not intentionally cause any person who has not agreed to participate in Rivet Live to appear or be heard in your camera or audio feed; (d) you will not play or intentionally transmit copyrighted music, television, film, videos or other third-party content unless you have all rights necessary to do so; and (e) your participation will comply with these Live Terms, the Terms of Use and Community Guidelines.
5. No Recording or Redistribution by Users
6. Conduct on Rivet Live
6.2. If you participate on camera, you are responsible for your camera feed, microphone feed, surroundings and background audio. Before joining the stage, you should ensure that no other person, confidential information, copyrighted material or inappropriate content can be seen or heard in your environment.
6.3. Rivet Live is intended to facilitate genuine and respectful community interaction. Viewers must not organize or participate in coordinated harassment, “pile-ons,” targeted humiliation, manipulation of voting, discriminatory voting campaigns or other conduct intended to demean or unfairly target a Live Participant.
7. Moderation, Recording, and Safety
7.1. Rivet may record and retain Rivet Live sessions for the purposes described in Section 4, including production, distribution, advertising and marketing, and for safety, moderation, investigation, policy enforcement, legal and compliance purposes, in each case as further described in our Privacy Policy.
7.2. Rivet, the Host and Rivet’s moderation team may, at any time and where appropriate in their discretion: (a) decline, delay or revoke a stage request; (b) mute, disconnect or remove a Live Participant; (c) remove a Viewer from a session; (d) hide or remove chat messages; (e) restrict access to stage participation, chat, voting or other Rivet Live features; (f) pause or end a segment or session; or (g) suspend or terminate access to Rivet or the relevant account, including where Rivet believes such action is appropriate for safety, moderation, legal compliance, enforcement of Rivet’s policies or protection of other users.
7.3. If Rivet becomes aware of circumstances indicating a credible risk of imminent or serious real-world harm, Rivet may interrupt or terminate a session and may take other appropriate measures, including contacting emergency services or law enforcement, where permitted or required by applicable law and consistent with our Privacy Policy.
7.4. If you encounter content or conduct that you believe violates these Live Terms or our Community Guidelines, you may report it using the reporting or support functionality made available by Rivet from time to time, including by contacting us at support@rivetdating.com. Rivet Live sessions may also be actively monitored by Rivet personnel or moderators, who may take action during the session without waiting for a user report.
8. General
8.2. Rivet may, in its sole discretion, update or modify these Live Terms from time to time in accordance with the Terms of Use. The version presented or made available to you when you enter or participate in a Rivet Live session will apply to that session. Rivet will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Live Terms within the Rivet platform, by presenting them to you before you enter or participate in a Rivet Live session, or by other reasonable means such as email or in-app notice. Where required by law or where Rivet makes a material change affecting participation, recording or use of Live Content, Rivet may require you to affirmatively accept the updated terms before participating.
8.3. These Live Terms are governed by the governing-law and dispute-resolution provisions contained in Section 22 of our Terms of Use, including the applicable binding arbitration provisions, which are incorporated into these Live Terms by reference.
