Job description
MeantToBe Inc is a venture-backed early-stage startup ready to make waves in the dating and consumer social industry. Our team is led by founders with deep experience in launching and scaling dating apps globally as well as building scaled unicorn businesses from scratch. Backed by top institutional capital, we are a high-growth startup on the ground floor of an ambitious journey to create a brand and product that stands out from the crowded dating app landscape.
Our unique approach combines deep cultural insight, AI, and a novel recommendation algorithm to deliver a social, fun, and effective dating experience that solves for both curation and scale, the holy grail in online dating.
Rivet Live is our line-up of online LIVE dating shows across formats, where people meet, play, and connect in real time. We need someone who can turn it into the most fun hour on a weeknight.
The Role
We're looking for a Community Manager, based in the U.S., to help grow Rivet Live. The goal? Make it the most fun hour on a weeknight.
You'll be the person who makes every show happen. You'll manage hosts and participants, run live shows, build the community around them, and help us make every episode better than the last one. You'll work closely with the founders and the marketing team, and you'll have real ownership over how Rivet Live looks, feels, and grows.
This is a hands-on role. You'll be in the room (virtually) when the show goes live, thinking on your feet when things don't go to plan, and using what you learn each night to make the next one better.
What You'll Do
- Run Rivet Live shows end to end, from prep and run-of-show to managing the live room and wrapping up after
- Recruit, onboard, brief, and support hosts so every show has great energy and a consistent experience
- Source, screen, and prep participants, and make sure they have a fun, safe, and comfortable time on air
- Build and grow the Rivet Live community: keep audiences engaged before, during, and between shows
- Moderate live chats and handle issues in real time, from tech hiccups to no-shows to behaviour that crosses the line
- Experiment with show formats, segments, and themes to find what keeps people coming back
- Track attendance, engagement, and participant feedback, then turn what you learn into concrete improvements
- Partner with marketing to promote upcoming shows and turn the best moments into shareable content
- Stay plugged into U.S. dating and pop culture trends and bring them into the shows
What We're Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience in community management, live events, creator or talent management, or a similar role working with U.S. audiences
- A knack for problem-solving: you stay calm and find a fix when something goes wrong mid-show
- Quick, strategic thinking: you can make good calls in the moment and step back to see the bigger picture
- Curiosity and a genuine interest in what makes connections happen
- Exceptional people skills, with the ability to make hosts and participants feel welcome and at ease
- Strong execution ability; you're a doer, not just an ideas person
- Extremely online and culturally aware, especially when it comes to dating, social, and live content
- Comfortable with ambiguity, rapid change, and evening work
- Bonus: experience with live streaming platforms, virtual events, hosting, or production
What We Offer
- Ground-floor opportunity at a growing startup
- Fully remote role (occasional travel for team meetings and events)
- Direct collaboration with founders
- Real ownership over a product line and its community
- Competitive salary and equity package
